The Chao gong is heavier than the Wind gong. It has a very earthy, grounding character with well resolved tones, both low and high.
If the Chao gong is earth, then the wind gong is sky. Chao gongs have a rim, are charcoal grey with a large polished playing area.
Enjoy the sounds samples we've prepared, although do appreciate that most speakers will not do a gong's immense sound justice!
